Create Your Protest

Your issue. Your protest.

Design the cause, sign, place and time. A willing, paid protester carries it out while you follow from anywhere.

Step 1 of 5Define your protestPick the issue and write the message you want people to take away.

Product concept with fictional people, places and bookings. Not affiliated with any organizer, and not a live service.

You decide everything.

Every protest is designed by the person who wants it. Here’s what you’ll choose when the app launches.

  • Your issueHealthcare, immigration, climate, guns, spending, or something local. In your words.
  • Your messageWhat you want people walking past to take away.
  • Your signExactly what it says, previewed before anyone sees it.
  • The placeA public spot that matters, like the sidewalk outside City Hall, near you or far away.
  • The day and timeMorning, afternoon or evening, on the day you choose.
  • How longFrom an hour to a whole afternoon.
  • How many protestersOne person with a sign, or a small group.
  • InstructionsAnything the protester should know before they go.

Planned Lawful, peaceful requests in public places only. Every request will be reviewed against local rules.

Your protest, wherever it needs to happen.

Create your protest from wherever you are. A willing, paid protester carries it out at the place you choose, across town or across the country.

Concept: you write a protest sign at work and send the request. 340 miles away, Alex R., a protester who accepted it, holds your sign outside the State Capitol and checks in. Fictional person, places and distance.

Already a protest planned? If there’s a demonstration you can’t make, a willing protester can attend it for you.

What will you protest?

Healthcare, climate, immigration, spending, civil liberties: the issues people already demonstrate about, on every side. You choose the message, the sign, the place and the time.

Follow Your Protest.

Someone is paying for a real protest, so every session is designed to leave a record you can see, without tracking anyone outside it. None of it is live yet.

  • Arrival check-in

Confirms the protester reached the location. Location is used only while a session is active.

  • Session timer

Start, elapsed and end time, visible to both of you.

  • Photo and video check-ins

Occasional, consent-based prompts. Never one that asks someone to take a risk.

  • Completion record and ratings

A record of the finished session, and transparent protester profiles with ratings.

What can I do today?

Join the waitlist to be told when the app launches, or join the protester waitlist if you’d like to protest for pay. The demos on this site show how the app is designed to work.

Creating protests, joining existing ones, matching, booking, payments and live tracking are planned and not available yet. Joining the waitlist doesn’t reserve anything or set a price.

What kinds of protests will I be able to create?

Lawful, peaceful protests in public places, on the issues people already demonstrate about: healthcare, climate, immigration, guns, government spending, civil liberties, or something local and specific. You’ll choose the message, the sign, the place and the time. Protestbum doesn’t endorse causes and applies the same rules to every request, whatever side it’s on.

Requests won’t be able to involve violence or weapons, threats, harassment or intimidation, blocking entrances or traffic, trespassing, someone’s home, damage, impersonation, or anyone’s personal details. Every request will be reviewed against local rules before anything can be booked.

Does my protest have to be near where I live?

No. That’s the idea: you create the protest for the place where it matters, across town or across the country, and follow it from wherever you are.

It needs willing protesters near that place, and Protestbum will open city by city, so not every place will be available at launch. There’s no launch city or date yet.

Am I paying for someone’s opinion?

No. You’d be paying for someone’s time to carry your message at a lawful protest, not for their beliefs, vote or endorsement. Protesters choose which requests to accept and keep their own views, and paid participation is disclosed.

How will I follow my protest?

Follow Your Protest is planned: an arrival check-in at the location while the session is active, a session timer, occasional photo or short video check-ins that never ask anyone to take a risk, and a completion record you both see.

None of this is live yet, and it will collect only what a session needs.

How will payment work?

The plan is for customers to pay inside Protestbum when they book, with the full price shown before confirming, and for protesters to be paid after the session is complete.

The payment provider, fees, payout timing and tax handling aren’t final. No prices are set and no earnings are guaranteed.

Where will it launch, and when?

There’s no launch city or date yet, and we won’t invent one. Protestbum will open city by city, starting where customers and protesters are in the same place. The cities people give us help decide where that is.
